The Challenge

To create awareness of the W8 as Sony Eriksson's Walkman (it's a music phone) smart phone model and create a platform where users are in the position to help us viral out the news as well.

The Solution

An app designed to appeal to two of young adults' favorite hobbies/pastimes - music and technology, our customized interactive wall posts are a fun addition to any Facebook wall.

How It Works

All users have to do is visit the Facebook page, select our guest star Orange Android (the resident Android is green) playing a particular instrument (drums, keyboard or electric guitar) and click share!

An interactive wall post will then be published to users' wall, playable by anyone who notices it on the newsfeed or while visiting their friend's page. Users will play a mini game with the wall post; get their score and a bite-sized info byte about the Sony Ericsson W8 Walkman smart phone. Other goodies include Android wallpapers and avatars, social media currency to share among friends.

The Result

Our daily posts garner an average of 80-100 “likes”. For the official release of the W8 Walkman smart phone, we saw a 600% spike with 602 “likes”- the Androids Alive experience had created both impressions, and engagement!
